Stuttgart-based Porsche recently released its top model for the Cayenne series in the form of the Turbo S.

Just like the Turbo S version of the Panamera, which also sports a V-8 twin turbocharged engine, the Cayenne Turbo S boats of more grunt coming from the engine bay and some custom styling that will separate it from the rest of the Turbo models.

The engineers at Porsche tweaked the brains of the engine and fitted the turbochargers with turbine wheels crafted from titanium aluminum. As a result the 4.8L poweplant gets a power boost of 49 horses to push its power to 542hp. It also improve the torque of the vehicle by as much as 37 lb-ft making its peak torque 553 lb-ft.

Considering all the improvements, the Cayenne Turbo S can sprint from 0 to 100 kilometers an hour in just 4.5 seconds or about 0.2 second quicker than other Turbo models. It can also go faster with a top speed of 283km/h compared to the 280 km/h of the regular models.

The powerboost and better overall performance did not affect the fuel economy of the ride and still pegged at 11.5L for every 100 kilometers.

If you currently own a Cayenne Turbo, you can actually purchase a kit that give your ride a power boost of as much as 40 horses and its torque by 50 Nm. This ups the output to 533 horses and 750 Nm.

The looks department did not get much of an update. The Turbo S gets a set of 21-inch alloy wheels, rectangular tailpipes, accents on the mirrors and bumpers, and smoked headlamps. The interior gets a dose of carbon fiber for the door panels, center console, and dashboard. The ride also gets a two-tone upholstery made of high quality leather.

The Cayenne Turbo S sells for about $196,212 in Germany.
